The zone’s total planning area of 8 square kilometers (12,000 acres) has been divided into High-tech Park, Special Industrial Park and Local Economic Park. The zone has been developed into a new type industrial development zone, includes new type industrial park, modern business park and modern living service park.

(1) High-tech Park

As the important construction project of Mentougou District and Shilong Industrial Development Zone during the period of “tenth-fifth”, high-tech Park is the key sector of the zone and it is also one of the key parts of Beijing municipal high-tech industrial zone. High-tech Park lies in the center of Beijing Shilong Industrial Development Zone, which is scheduled to occupy 1 square kilometer (1500 acres).

In order to improving the investment environment and condition of High-tech Park, Beijing Shilong Industrial Development Zone spends 70 million RMB to realize “ten availabilities one flat and three turn ” (communication, power supply, water supply, heat supply, natural gas supply, steam supply, drainage of water, telecommunication, wideband, cabled T.V, a flat land, the green turning, beautify and bright turning)

(2) Special Industrial Park

The planning area of Special Industrial Park is 5 square kilometers, which consists of modern manufacturing industrial park, biomedicine & chemical industrial park and information industrial park

1. Modern manufacturing industrial park ---3square kilometers, 4500 acres

2. Bio-medicine & chemical industrial park--- 1square kilometer, 1500 acres

3. Information industrial park ---1square kilometer, 1500 acres

(3) Local Economic Park

The local economic park is made up of commercial guide halls to the north, public warehouse, and dispose of sewage area, business service area along Jingyuan Road and many residential areas to the southwest. Third industry provides many jobs for the farmers nearby.
